Whitney Houston’s Death Cost Taxpayers $187k

Damn, we know she was a diva but the city of Newark doesn’t have it like that.

What did the money go for? (And don’t say to pay off her dealer. You are wrong for that.)

An extra 200 police officers were called in to help orchestrate the four-hour funeral/concert and to keep Jahiem and his Barney suit from entering the building.

That figure represents 5% of Newark’s annual budget.

“I think it’s absolutely ridiculous when you have people who are unemployed and homeless, people walking up and down the streets,” Newark resident Quincy Ruffin told CBS.

Raises a dilema, what should the city do? Bill Whitney’s estate? Stop spending the taxpayer’s money on stuff that doesn’t benifit taxpayers? Allow Whitney’s funeral to go unpoliced?
