hey – I was a Hillary supporter, but definitely – already – voted for Barack Obama. not all of us are the ‘crazy Hillary bloggers’, as you say. Three things, though – 1) I will always have voted for whoever the Democratic nominee was … but it sure didn’t help that when I wore my ‘Hillary’ button to an Obama rally, I got all sorts of rude, belligerent epithets hurled at me (ahem, that doesn’t help the cause, Obama people … don’t alienate the Hillary supporters); 2) I hope that all Obama supporters would have been JUST as supportive of Hillary had she won the Democratic nomination … ? & 3) It’s really unnecessary (and sexist) to attach all of those pictures of Hillary on to this blog – really, what’s the point? if you want the ‘whiteness is showing’ voters to come out for your cause, don’t insult their hero. Idiot.

That pretty much sums it up. I’ve gone on some of these crazy Hillary supporter blogs and they’re all about boycotting the election and/or voting for McCain, which I’m sorry, makes you a Republican in my eyes. If you vote Republican, I don’t care what your motive is, you’re a Republican. What’s next? Are you going to blame Obama for turning you into a Republican? Are you going to blame him for destroying your convictions that conservative initiatives against a woman’s right to choose are morally wrong? What’s your point? Don’t let yourself become even more oppressed than you already are by voting for McCain. If you do this you’ll be acting purely on irrational emotions, which is one of the most pernicious stereotypes of women: that they act on emotion instead of reasoning things out. And anyway, Hillary was using YOU, loyal supporter, as leverage to stay in the election. She said that the only reason she stayed in was because of you. She used you like any shrewd politician would. It’s just that Barack Obama outsmarted her. It’s time for you to take initiative and support Obama and stop blaming him for all of society’s ills. Tim Wise, you’re absolutely right.
