Jay-Z’s Muse – Whitesnake

In the wake of Jay-Z and Mary announcing their tour, perhaps Jay should add a group that gave him the inspiration to call it the “Heart of the City” tour. The rock group Whitesnake is obviously Jay-Z’s muse and they could prove it if push came to shove. Take it back to Run DMC and Aerosmith! See their video for “Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City” (1978).

  1. I think Jay sampled the Bobby Blue Bland version of it. It was the original from what i understand.

  2. yeah, you are right. i kinda like this one better. LOL

    thx for the correction.

  3. the bobby bland version is definitely the one Jay z sampled. I like the whitesnake version just as much but I always wanted to know who did the original version. I think the bland version is the original. Great video anyway.
