25-year-old Dani Graves and his 19-year-old fiancee Tasha Maltbry were left howling in the street after they were removed from their bus and prevented from boarding another because of their ‘pet- pet-owner-type relationship.The Arriva Yorkshire bus service refused them, at the discretion of the driver, because of fears that Tasha’s dog lead could be a health and safety issue, should the bus make a sudden turn or brake.

The couple claimed that they were used to “strange looks (sic) and comments” but this was unexpected. Dani claims that he goes so far as to feed his pet and clean up after her simply saying “You wouldn’t expect your cat or dog to do the washing up.”
